School-based health centers (SBHCs) are primary care clinics located in or near schools that provide a variety of health services to students. Southwest Louisiana Primary Health Care partners with local area schools to bring excellent care and attention to your school age children!
Services: We offer a range of services, including checkups, lab tests, prescriptions, counseling, immunizations, sports physicals, dental and eye exams, and screenings. We also provide mental health care, substance abuse counseling, and case management.
Benefits: We help students achieve optimal health and education outcomes by reducing chronic absenteeism and promoting healthy schools. We also improve access to health care services for students by decreasing financial, geographic, age, and cultural barriers.
